Epicurious Market

I am so excited to post the very first review on Handmade A la Mode. Be sure to check back weekly for the latest handmade product reviews and finds.

Our very first review goes to Epicurious Market. Epicurious has it all; body butters, scrubs, lip balms, candles and of course luscious bars of soap. With scents like Sweet Orange Chili Pepper and Margarita this is definitely not your grandmother's soap!

I recently purchased the Bamboo Sugar Cane and the Lime Cilantro kitchen soap; both are fabulous. I have the Bamboo Sugar Cane in the shower. It is a nice light scent that does not over power you. Personally, this is a HUGE plus for me because I have some severe morning sickness and strong scents send me running. So, the Bamboo Sugar Cane gets an A+ in my book.

I keep the Lime Cilantro kitchen soap, in the kitchen (of course). Fresh and clean and large this is a bar of soap you can really wrap your hands around. Not only does this soap smell yummy, but is leaves my hands nice and soft. Another A+!

Epicurious Market gets 3 scoops from Handmade A la Mode. Be sure to check out all the wonderful ways to pamper yourself at http://epicurious.etsy.com

Gaining Intrest

I have had quite a few crafters inquire about Handmade A La Mode and I am excited to tell them all about it. I will have a venue decided on by the end of the week.

The next big decision will be setting a date. There are so many good shows coming up on the area.

Feel free to contact me with any questions at handmadealamode@yahoo.com

Venue #1 Update

I went to check out the American Legion in Clayton; a potential venue for the Handmade a la Mode Spring Boutique. It is bright, spacious, and clean. It also has clean bathrooms and a kitchen that we could use if needed.

I am thinking of offering the American Legion folks the kitchen that day. They may want to sell snack, or drinks to raise money or their group.

The room would easily fit 15 to 20 vendors. and it is very close to I40 and Hwy 70.

Hopefully this week I can get to check out a few more locations. Stay tuned!

Do you know of any place large enough to accomodate 15-20 vendors? If so please contact me .I would like it to be in the Clayton/Garner area.

Thanks
